Hawaii SparkYou Instructors
Discover the amazing educators who make learning
an unforgettable experience for your kids.
Christie Sasaki
Program Manager.
I’ve been working as an Educational Assistant since 2018, and I’ve had the joy of supporting students from Pre-K all the way through 6th grade. My connection with Aikahi Elementary School runs deep—I’ve been involved in various roles there for over 20 years, ever since my own children started attending.
Over the years, I’ve gained a lot of experience in classroom management, organizing activities, and guiding kids through all kinds of school day adventures. I’m also First Aid and CPR certified, which helps me feel confident in keeping kids safe while they learn and play.
Outside of work, I’m a mom to eight amazing kids, ages 14 to 29, and that has taught me more about patience, flexibility, and creativity than anything else.
I’m really looking forward to joining SparkYou this summer and can’t wait to make it a fun and memorable experience for everyone!
Natasha Skoberla
Owner/Program Manager
My adventure with science for children started during Covid lockdown when, while being a mom and Pharma industry professional, I opened SparkYou service to public employees who faced no options for their kids care while working very hard. During that time, I learned how important it is to keep students actively engaged not only on a interface of a computer, but in person and out of 4 walls. Science was the answer. I was able to “infect student’s minds with a bug for science” and have been doing it ever since. I am privileged to be one of the few that can say “I really love what I do”.
I hold a BS in Civil Engineering and an MS in Chemical Engineering & Biochemistry. With experience in drug and vaccine development at Merck KGaA and certification as a life coach focused on confidence, I combine a passion for science and youth development in every program I lead.
Mary Prishchak
Lead Counselor
Mary Hi! I’m Mary, and I’m excited to be spending my fourth summer at SparkYou Camp! I’m originally from Ukraine and have lived in Hawaii since 2022. During the year, I study politics at George Washington University in D.C., so coming back to the island always feels like coming to my second home.
I love working with kids, not just for the fun science experiments, but because there’s so much we learn from them too. One of my favorite things is going on beach adventures and making slime, a passion I share with my two younger sisters.
In my free time, I enjoy jazz dancing, bedazzling, and hiking. I can’t wait to make this summer full of fun and unforgettable memories!
Susy Iniguez
Hi, my name is Susy, and this is my first year with SparkYou Camp! I’m originally from San Diego, California, and moved to Hawaii in 2025. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology, as well as a master’s degree in counseling psychology. I’ve been working with families and children since 2013, and I’m passionate about supporting kids as they grow, learn, and have fun.
Campers can expect a positive, energetic, and welcoming environment where they feel safe to be themselves, try new things, and build friendships. I love creating engaging activities, encouraging creativity, and bringing lots of enthusiasm and kindness to each day so every child feels included and excited to participate.
I’m excited to be part of your child’s summer camp adventure and help create joyful, lasting memories. In my free time, I love being outdoors and traveling with my family.
Kahea Kauhi
Aloha my name is Kahea Kauhi, and I’ve been working as an Educational Assistant at Kaohao School for the past 25 years.
Since I first started, I’ve had the opportunity to work with all of the lower grade levels, which has given me a lot of experience in supporting young learners at different stages of their development. Over the years, I’ve really come to understand how important those early school years are, and feel grateful to be part of helping students build their foundation.
I’m also a mother of three, and that has shaped who I am both personally and professionally.
Being a parent has helped me connect with my students in a more understanding and patient way, and bring that same care into the classroom every day. In my spare time enjoy the beach with my family and walks with my dogs.
Teaching is truly something I’m passionate about. I enjoy working closely with students, supporting their growth, and seeing their progress over time. It means a lot to me to be able to make a positive impact in their lives and to be part of their SparkYou learning journey.
