WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

WHO WE ARE

Hello my name is Natasha Skoberla. I am the owner of SparkYou.org who loves science and kids. Geek at heart but I also like playing beach volleyball & tennis. Since 2018 I teach STEM for grades K-12. I have worked in Aikahi, Ka’ohao and Waimanalo Elementary Schools and tutor kids from all over the island. I hold BS degree in Civil Engineering, MS degrees in Biochemistry and Chemical Engineering. I have extensive background in drug and vaccine development subjects due to my past, long time employment at Merck, KGAA. My goal is to keep your kids safe, curios and entertained during their time away from school. I am fascinated with little brains and how they work. I love watching kids get curious about not only science but just the ordinary life. I believe social interactions with other kids and lots of time outside on a fresh air is the best we can offer our kids.

AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLASSES

LOWER ELEMENTARY Grades K-2

For our youngest scientists, we emphasize engagement and fun. Kids engage/study with a partner to cultivate team work. Each session consists of Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Engineering lessons with emphasis on our Hawaiian sourroundings. Students not only have fun but are challenged to independent thinking and proposing discovery subjects they want to learn about. We love to hear all innovative ideas as young Einsteins get their creative minds to work!

 UPPER ELEMENTARY Grades 3-6

This program is more advanced including experimental details. It is versatile in terms of settings. Students work in teams or independently depending on lesson. Given lessons teach concepts of elements, molecules, reactions, electricity and thermodynamics. We emphasize nurturing curiosity, creative thinking and encourage students to ask questions.

 SCIENCE DISCOVERY CAMPS

We accommodate the need of learning and supervision for days where schools are closed and during vacation time. Our Hawaii discovery camps combined with science consists of:

ONE DAY CAMPS (8AM-2PM) are set up for most Holidays which corporate businesses don’t recognize and for personal development days when schools are closed for students.

WEEK LONG CAMPS (8AM-2PM) offered during fall, spring & summer breaks.
